The latest wave of digital disruption is transforming industries. As digital technologies such as Cloud, Analytics, Mobile, Social, and the Internet of Things gain momentum, they are altering market structures and business models. I believe digital capabilities increasingly will determine which companies create or lose value. At Marlabs, we partner with clients to capture the growth opportunity offered by digital. We prioritize client satisfaction over everything else and our focus on speed and innovation is our differentiation. And importantly, we are of the right size, which means we are large enough for our clients' comfort and small enough to be nimble. Leveraging our extensive technology and domain expertise and high performance teams, we deliver innovative technology solutions and services that help clients meet their IT and business challenges.
Marlabs was ranked number one in the application development category in CMP Media’s Fast Growth 100 and rated as the “Ten software experts you should know”. The company was also recognized as one of the “50 Best Places to Work in New Jersey” among large businesses. Marlabs is a past winner of the Deloitte & Touché Fast 50 program, a program that recognizes the 50 fastest growing technology companies in New Jersey. Marlabs has been ranked among the top 100 privately held businesses in New Jersey. Marlabs has also been included in the Global Services 100 – ranking of the top 100 companies that define outsourcing. The Software 500 – ranking of the largest software providers globally, is yet another list that has featured Marlabs.
Siby made it his mission to transform Marlabs into a consulting and outsourcing services leader that raises customers’ competitive advantage through developing IP and stepping up efficiencies. A number of recognitions followed for Siby including being selected as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist and the sole inductee in the Inc 500 Hall of Fame in 2006 for having made it into the Inc. 500 list (the fastest growing privately held companies in the US) for five years in a row. Also, Fortune Business Magazine (FSB) and Winning Work Places conferred on him the “Best Boss” distinguished finalist award in 2006.
Siby started his career with a consulting stint at Genentech, working on GIS applications for military bases in California.
Siby holds a Masters degree in Engineering from Texas Tech University and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from College of Engineering, India. He has completed several executive education programs including the Harvard Presidents’ program. He has been quoted in published media including the New York Times, Forbes Magazine, Inc Magazine, Fast Company, CRN, and others.
Siby is also a member of (YPO) Young Presidents Organization, Potomac Officers Club, and a charter member of TIE (The Indus entrepreneurs). Siby has mentored several startups as part of the TIE mentoring program and has also mentored MBA students at Harvard as part of the YPO/HBS mentoring program. However, for Siby, all work and no play would make life dull. Therefore, outside the office Siby enjoys tennis and golf.
Siby always attests that it is the passion of his people to grow and do things they haven’t done before—in addition to globalization of services and taking of risks not usually taken by privately owned firms—that has ushered in a winning work culture, which has shaped the company over the last ten years.
